Devotional Observation – April 3, 2017

Psalm 119:29-30 say, “Remove from me the way of lying, and grant me your law graciously. I have chosen the way of truth; your judgments I have laid before me.” Speaking the truth requires a commitment to being consistent to reality, whether we like it or not. On the other hand, lies can be anything that is not true, including what is only partially true. As such, it can go in any direction at any time and lacks consistency and reliability. Embracing and sticking to God’s Word is the only remedy for developing this character quality of truthfulness.
