Psalm 119 is the longest psalm and chapter in the Bible. It’s all about God’s Word and uses 8 different words for his Word. Verses 9 and 11 say, “How can a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed according to [God’s] word…Your word have I hidden in my heart that I might not sin against you.” I was not raised in serious Christian concepts as a kid. Fortunately as an emerging adult I found these 2 verses early. Thankfully, the Bible school I attended required lots of memorization. There is no substitute for memorizing Scripture. It had a huge beneficial impact on me. I pray it does so on you.
