Psalm 111:10 says, “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; a good understanding have all those who do his commandments. His praise endures forever.” The first part of this verse reminds us of Proverbs 1:7. It is wise to remember that God is first, came first, and should be first. Those who get this (“have a good understanding) will do his will (commandments), confirming their understanding. It’s very similar to John 7:17, “If anyone wills to do [God’s] will, he shall know concerning the doctrine…” Let’s fear the LORD and be wise.
