John 3:3 says, “Jesus answered and said to him, ‘Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.'” Jesus said this to Nicodemus, perhaps the top teacher in Israel. The kingdom of God was a big topic that a teacher like Nic should be able to speak to. But Jesus says no one can see it unless he is born again, or born from above/heaven. In fact, Jesus said “born” no less than 8 times from verses 3-8. Nic was baffled at this idea, showing that even well meaning but unsaved Bible teachers are simply out of their league. There is no short cut in having a genuine walk with Jesus and the Spirit as your teacher to understand spiritual truth.
