Why do you focus on international students and scholars?

Does this mean that denominations, churches, or mission agencies have it wrong or are no good?

Why do you focus on international students and scholars?

When he was alive, Dr. Ralph Winter, the founder of the US Center for World Missions (now Frontier Ventures and The Venture Center) in Pasadena, CA said 2 things about international student ministry (ISM) in the US: (1) It is easily the most complicated of all mission fields in the world, and (2) It has the most potential of all the mission fields of the world. #2 is true because virtually all the nations of the world send their best and brightest students and scholars to the US.

America has been at the forefront of international student education since World War 1. The US is the #1 destination in the world for international students/scholars. With the large number of Christians in the US, it should be a no-brainer that all of these internationals should have at least one American Christian friend. The sad truth is that currently no more than 4% of these visitors hear the gospel, let alone believe it. Estimates are that only 10% of these internationals even visit an American home, Christian or otherwise. The chances of them visiting a Christian household are obviously far less. The Body of Christ consistently fails to show hospitality to the most important demographic for kingdom advancement, and it has been this way for over 100 years. These internationals are intelligent, educated, future or developing leaders, mobile and represent virtually every country. It’s long past time we change these numbers. Kingdom Servants is all about turning this situation around.
