Devotional Observation – May 7, 2017

Psalm 119:74 and 77 say, “Those who fear you will be glad when they see me, because I have hoped in your word…. Let those who fear you turn to me, those who know your testimonies.” Remember that joke about when someone shows up in a room others immediately leave? How is it when other believers see us? The outcome of that joke should never be true of us as God’s people. “Those who fear the Lord [should] be glad when they see [us] and turn to [us],” not because we’re perfect or anything else other than we “have hoped in [God’s] word.” Others know we have a walk with the Lord that is evident, and that is a welcoming reality.
