Devotional Observation – April 22, 2017

Daniel 2:23 says, “I thank you and praise you, O God of my fathers; you have given me wisdom and might, and have now made known to me what we asked of you, for you have made known to us the king’s demand.” Daniel finished his prayer of thanksgiving acknowledging that God answers prayers. So let’s not overlook the obvious. It’s exceedingly appropriate to thank him for answering our prayers. But not everyone does. Jesus encountered 10 lepers in Luke 17. They asked for mercy (v. 13). Knowingly or not, everyone requesting help from Jesus prays. He healed all ten. Only one, a Samaritan, returned to give thanks. Whether our needs deal with our health, past, minds, families, friends, neighbors, finances, needed breakthroughs, colleagues, future, etc., our God answers prayers either by yes, no or wait. And wait means “believe/trust me.” Let’s honor God today by thanking him for answered prayers.
