Devotional Observation – April 16, 2017

Daniel 2:10-11 says, The Chaldeans answered the king, and said, ‘There is not a man on earth who can tell the king’s matter; therefore no king, lord, or ruler has ever asked such things of any magician, astrologer, or Chaldean. It is a difficult thing that the king requests, and there is no other who can tell it to the king except the gods, whose dwelling is not with flesh.’” The argument between Nebuchadnezzar and his ‘wise men’ had reached a head. The king wants them to recount and interpret his dream. They admit no one “on earth can tell the king’s matter” without help from their “gods,” and they don’t live “with flesh,” or among humanity. What an admission! However, our God is omnipresent and Jesus came to earth to restore us to the God of heaven. Let’s live so outsiders know our God is with us today.
