John 21:9-10 says, “Then, as soon as they had come to land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid on it, and bread. Jesus said to them, ‘Bring some of the fish which you have just caught.’” The disciples dragged a net full of fish as they rowed the 100 yards to the shoreline of the Sea of Galilee. Jesus already had a “fire of coals” cooking “fish…and bread.” Jesus wouldn’t have had time to prepare this in that short time so this must have been a miracle. He invites them to add the fish they just caught at his command (v. 6). Imagine: breakfast with Jesus… What was that like? What did they talk about? One of the great things about Jesus is he’ll talk with us anytime anywhere. He wants us to bring everything to him. Let’s not miss opportunities to talk with him today.
