John 2:11 says, “This beginning of signs Jesus did in Cana of Galilee, and manifested his glory; and his disciples believed in him.” Here John says very clearly that the first miracle of turning water into wine, a chemical impossibility, set the tone for all other miracles in that they revealed his glory. Some 1,500 years before, Moses asked God, “Please, show me your glory” (Exodus 33:18). Moses didn’t know that seeing it would kill him (v. 20), but his heart was in the right place. Jesus demonstrated his glory through miracles without risking anyone’s death. We bring glory to Christ (John 17:10) by our faith (17:8). Let’s let his glory shine through us today.
