John 10:37-38 says, “If I do not do the works of my Father, do not believe me; but if I do, though you do not believe me, believe the works, that you may know and believe that the Father is in me, and I in him.” The Jews accused Jesus of blasphemy, making himself God (v.33). His defense wasn’t emotional but factual. He recognized they rejected him (“you do not believe me”), so he pointed them to his miracles. Demons don’t open blind eyes (v. 21). Sadly, people reject evidence staring them in the face every day. Unless we have the gift of miracles (1 Cor. 12:10), we can’t do them. But we can give evidence of the fruit of the Spirit (Gal. 5:22-23), which is God’s miracle inside us, and our testimony. Let’s make sure outsiders see and hear this internal transformation in our behavior and words today.
