Psalm 96:4b-5 says, “[The LORD] is to be feared above all gods. For all the gods of the people are idols, but the Lord made the heavens.” Follow the logic: Idols are centers of activity for demons (1 Cor. 10:19-20). Thus, “all of the gods of the people are idols,” or demonic in nature. So fear the one and only true God, Yahweh (the LORD) alone, who made the heavens. Who else can do that?!
