Psalm 115:3 says, “But our God is in heaven; he does whatever he pleases.” Can we even think what life would be like for us if we could do whatever we want? Pretty quickly we would most probably become tired and jaded and weary trying to make ourselves happy. But not God! He is so perfect in character, holy in nature and thinking, and ultimately good in essence that everything he does is according to who he is bringing him pleasure. That is why we do best daily to draw near to him, know him and do his will.
